Karelia Stetz-Waters

Biography

Karelia Stetz-Waters is author of Dysphoria, part one of the Ivers/Wilson series. She holds an MA in English from the University of Oregon and a BA in Comparative Literature from Smith College. Other formative experiences include a childhood spent exploring the Oregon woods, a job doing nothing but reading the Amherst alumni quarterly, and several years playing pool at dive bars in Northampton, MA. Now she teaches writing and literature and lives with her beloved wife, Fay, her pug dog, Lord Byron, and her cat, Cyrus the Disemboweler. Her interests include large snakes, conjoined twins, corn mazes, lesbians, popular science books on neurology, and any roadside attraction that purports to have the world’s largest ball of twine.
