Karin Ficke Cook

I'm 73 (I'm old), an American from Iowa living in my old high school (which is now a senior apartment complex in Davenport) and was married to L.M. Cook who lived in Oldham, UK. We met on the Internet, married in England and were married for 16 years until his death in June 2013. We had no children, but have a rescue cat named Molly Finn and my hobbies range from rosary making, to beading, volunteering and plaster statuary restoration for churches. There are a lot more interests, but there isn't room here!! I am a published author of four traditional novels (which are a series) and now an eBook author of six through Smashwords.com and I normally write in the mystery/crime category. Now, I am writing Christian family novels, along with a new series, which are community-based. I am a Polio Survivor and have Post Polio Sequelae, which is why I became a writer. I was unable to continue in sales, so I used my background to become a published author at age 55. Although I am retired, I am a full-time author. But now it is time to sell new work, create new books and my time has now been booked up for the next five years with lots of new projects. I thought retirement was supposed to give you free time? NOT. My newest novel, "Memories Saved Us" is about to be published, with a sequel coming in 2022. My first novel in 10 years!! And Miss Lulabelle Lavinia LaFontaine (my alter ego, but don't tell anyone) has three new books on the way and three other non-related novels to finish off 2021 and early 2022. Keep watching social media, along with Facebook. Moving right along.......

This is a collection of seven short stories compiled over a period of three years. Some have similar themes - some have weddings. A few have romance, some do not. One is about Victorian time travel and murder, another is environmental in scope. Another story is about drugs, crime and deceit. There is something for everyone in here!

I highly recommend this book for anyone who thinks they might have a gift, someone seeking information on the topic and anyone who wants more knowledge on psychic abilities. This is the definitive 'go-to' book for answers to your questions. The book is easy to read and understand and who knows, it might be a door in which you will walk through to a new experience of your own. Thank you, Dr. Diskin for writing such an excellent book.
