I was born and raised in Kansas as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz said, "there is no place like home!" I have always been an avid reader and also wanted to try my hand at writing. However, I grew up in a generation where spell check and computers did not exist. Writing was always a distant dream until now! I have many stories on many subjects I can't wait to get out for others to enjoy.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Eastern Kansas, contrary to popular belief Kansas isn't all flat. We do have some hills....mounds.....bumps really, but the point is it is not all flat. The town I grew up in was very, very small population of 500 and that was counting the cows. I know it sure influenced my reading because there was absolutely nothing else to do in this small town. As for the way I write, I would say it has made me a more colorful writer.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My husband bought me a kindle for Christmas a few years back and I downloaded over a hundred books. Found one of my favorite authors while reading these books and she is an indie author and inspired me to follow suit.
