A new twist on an old mystery. Who was Jack the Ripper? And could he be responsible for a new mystery: who killed Dorcy Edwards' employer, Mr. Davenport? Miss Mae is a very good writer who brings some fresh twists and turns to a dark and stormy night on an isolated island. I'm not sure the details of the Victorian-era social order were entirely accurate and I had a small issue with some of the romantic elements (which I won't describe because it would be a spoiler). But overall, a very enjoyable read with a satisfying ending. My thanks to the author for a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
