Kate Riley

Kate Riley is a professional business coach, facilitator and artist who is passionate about the 13th century. Her historical interest in this period was borne from an intense dream where she found herself in a besieged fortress disguised as a young man, surrounded by Templars and about to die. A voice strongly directed her several times to wake up and write down the word ‘Cathar’. This dream began a twenty-year obsession, which has twice taken her to Montségur and became the basis for this story.

Ms. Riley’s career has encompassed twenty years in the newspaper industry where she has won awards for her designs. She currently lives in Innisfil, Ontario and manages entrepreneurship programs for adults and youth.
