Keith C. Chase, a long time Military Historian, enlisted in the Marie Corps in 1977 and served on active duty and active reserve. He was promoted to sergeant in just under three years of active duty. Chase served in 2nd and 3rd Marine Divisions. In 1981 he was accepted by the elite Marine Security Guard Battalion. He guarded American Embassies in Cameroon, Africa, and Bonn, Germany. In 1984 he transferred to 4th Marine Division.
Keith left the Marines with an Honorable Discharge in 1989 having earned over forty decorations, promotions and award certificates. Leaving the Marines allowed him additional time to devote to historical, intelligence and espionage research. In 2005 he retired as a public safety officer with twenty years and commendations. Mr. Chase, a lover of nature, resides in a small community in Western Massachusetts. He is continually involved in several book projects. His hobbies include horseback riding, shooting, hiking, painting, and building plastic models, weightlifting, all kinds of music and delving into military, Celtic and European history. Occasionally he involves himself with animal rescue.
