Keith McLachlan

My books and my tales are not for everyone and I am quite comfortable with that. I would rather that my tales be unique than generically acceptable.
I was born in 1983 in a small, but beautiful coastal town in South Africa just a stroll away from the ocean. Later I moved to the cosmopolitan bustle of Johannesburg, the New York of Africa. I lived through the late Apartheid days, saw the transition into democracy and I have grown up in one of the most complex and colourful periods in South African history. At one point, I even lived down the road from the late Nelson Mandela.
