Beverly M. Kelley

Beverly M. Kelley, Ph.D. recently retired from teaching communication courses after thirty-five years in the department she founded at California Lutheran University. She’s instructed so many local attorneys she has never been permitted to serve on a jury. She previously published three nonfiction books that explore the relationship between politics and film as well as numerous scholarly articles. A former radio and television talk-show host and frequent contributor to the Ventura County Perspective pages of the Los Angeles Times, she continues to file a biweekly opinion column for the Ventura County Star, a position she has held for the past fifteen years. She resides in a sleepy little beach town on the California coast and her only vice is overindulging her two adorable grandsons.
