I am a qualified language practitioner who does freelance translations. I am employed as an Educator in a high school in Gauteng. My retirement goal is to become a full-time author. I am very conscious about culture, nature conservation and community building. I also participate in many social welfare programmes. I am a proud father of two daughters and a loving boyfriend. Lastly, I am the last born in a family of eight. Enjoying the blessing of having my two very elderly parents.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born in village called Tlokweng, 77km beyond Rustenburg from Jozi side. Because of solid and binding norms or cultural observations, we ought to live in a certain way. Being open-mined or flexible is not warmly received. Hence I started writing short stories around village life versus outside life.
