Kerran Olson was born in Perth, Western Australia in 1991. When she isn't busy at university studying Tourism Management or Writing, she enjoys reading from a range of genres and writing short stories and poetry inspired by her travels, everyday life, and imaginings. She also collects copies of The Catcher in the Rye and loves them all, especially the pre-loved editions with notes in the margins from second-hand stores. The Weaver is her first published piece.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
It would take too long to describe the 'why' for all of these, so I'll leave it at a list and the fact that they're all amazing and i connected with them in different ways The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger The Book Thief, Markus Zusak Cloudstreet, Tim Winton Brideshead Revisited, Evelyn Waugh Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling- (yes I know that's seven books but I can't pick just one!)
Honorable mentions - We Need to Talk About Kevin -Barracuda -Lord of the RIngs -The Night Circus
What do you read for pleasure?
A huge range of genres! I love a lot of literary fiction, young adult (I can't keep up with the amount that keep being released!), I'm always working my way through the classics, and I love a good reread of Harry Potter or a favourite book.
Willow is The Weaver. She spends her days weaving an intricate tapestry of stories and people, artfully stitching the World as we know it. Willow longs to see the beauty she weaves, and when she feels The Pull to one particular Lifeline, she knows it is time for her journey, but everything she believes will change when she finally visits the World she has created.
