Smashwords Interview

When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Not that long ago, when I had free time I was probably going to spend it doing homework. When I finally graduated university, I was able to explore the things I actually like, such as watching movies with my sisters, going for walks along the Puget Sound and, of course, writing my series For the King. I also read three books within the two weeks following my graduation, and I read them for fun!
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I wrote was back in the third or fourth grade. We were instructed to write a fictional story, and it could be about anything we wanted. Lucky for me, my father told my sisters and me bedtime stories when we were growing up, stories that he made up off the top of his head and claimed were "based on true." He taught me a lot about telling stories, so I quickly came up with my assignment. I wrote about walking along the road with my father and finding a diamond ring in the grass. I imagine our family went on to become rich from that priceless diamond ring, but the details are a little fuzzy now. I still hold that the main premise is a good one, though.
