I loved this book and can't wait for the next one. I wish in the real world we would have the same connection to our "mates" and maybe the world would be a better place! I loved the sidekick humour and the love from friends and family. I love wolves too!
Can't wait to see Decebel's story next!! Did I mention that I loved this series!!??!!
Prince of Wolves, Book 1 The Grey Wolves Series

I already read the second book so I can't say too much without spoiling it!. I love this series. The humour of Jacque's best friends keeps me in stitches. The love is evident between Jacque and Fane! There is a definite strength in family and friends. I would recommend everyone buy this if you like paranormal or strong family bonds. I would love to have Fane as my mate!! The second book gets even better!!
I won this book a while ago. I didn't really know much about it but was intrigued as others had given it good reviews. What I found kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting to know more.
Beatrice(B) meets Dr Giovanni Vecchio in the special collection section of the library at the university. Gio is doing research there. As time passes, the two become closer. She soon learns that Gio is not a regular human but a vampire. She takes it well with her wit and something that seems to be at the back of her mind. She soon learns that the world is not as simple as it seems and the documents that she researches for Gio has something to do with her father.
Then the pace picks up and things become dangerous for B. Their feelings they have for each other seems to be kept at bay by Gio. For he is far more dangerous than meets the eye and he has many secrets that are soon revealed.
The ending left you ready for the next chapter of the story and wanting to know what will become of Gio and B and other questions that are left unanswered!
I found myself up at night in the bed with my kindle reading after my hubby fell asleep until I finished it! Good thing I had the next one to start into because it leaves off with more questions than answers!
Gemma is part of a family of time traveler's. She is just a little different than the rest of the family. She stays as an outsider at school because of her parents rules. These rules are no dating until college because they are to marry another time traveler. Also she stays as a loner (freak is the word in the book, but I don't like that word, it makes me sad for Gemma) because her dad could call her to a mission in a different time period at any moment! There missions are supposed to find someone in the past and save them because they will make a difference in the future.
Gemma is attracted to a boy in school who is also somewhat new. He is attracted to her as well. She, however, tries to avoid him because of the rules. But Harrison gets under her skin and they form a bond.
Things happen that change Gemma's life! Harrison is part of that change. The missions make her question things. Her parents make her question things!
But you'll just have to read what the "things" are in the book!
Black Blood (Time Spirit Trilogy, #2)

I had CPR class today but I kept sneaking in some reading whenever I could because I couldn't put it down. Things are happening in this book and by the time you get to the end, you are a nervous wreck! I feel for Gemma and Harrison and Gabe and I don't want any of them hurt! Their pain was my pain! I did have to take an hour off to make dinner and settle my nerves before I could do anything else!
It's a good thing I have the next book handy!
I enjoyed this story! Gemma/Lucia's a very strong and selfless girl! Harrison is so right for her! I love Gemma's dad! The ending made sense to me, but you have to read it to see if you agree!
My only thing was that I didn't get the very last sentence and it bugs me! There are still questions that I didn't get answers to, but that didn't stop my enjoyment of the book!Maybe there is another book someday!!
I normally don’t read reviews before I read a book because I want to enjoy the book and form my own opinions. But, in this case, I am glad I did or I would have stopped reading the book in the beginning. I thought the synopsis was vague and I wanted to know more. I read from others that it was slow and confusing in the beginning and I would have to agree. I kept saying, “What?” while reading. It was confusing to follow at first. Things didn’t make sense and I would strongly agree with Lindsay, a reviewer on www.contagiousreads.blogspot.com, who said “The first quarter of the book has an entirely different feel to it, full of unrealistic dialogue and bizarre stereotypes (like homeschoolers being dressed in denim jumpers and owning goats?)” I homeschooled one of my kids and I don’t own any goats and definitely don’t own any denim jumpers!! I am not sure how I feel about that.
Any way, without going crazy, I trudged on. The book picked up the pace and I really enjoyed it. Some things still bothered me, but the story kept me going. I had to figure things out and see where it went.
Leeowyn is introduced to her uncle in the beginning and without question, goes and stays with him during the school year and goes home in the summer to be with her mom. She learned her father died. She meets her grandmother and lives in this large home that she doesn’t learn until much later where the house is, because she falls asleep each time she travels to this home.
Her uncle is Cyle. His eyes are like hers. You know there is something going on, but don’t know what it is until later. But I will tell you that they are not human. Lee is ½ human.
Lee meets Alex during the summer. She is taken by him. He then shows up at her uncle’s home and there is some angst going on with him and her uncle but he lets Alex stay for the winter.
Peach is a friend who stays with her at her uncle’s. Lee doesn’t seem too bright not to figure out why Peach and Alex are not homeschooled with her. I mean, they do no school at all!
Lee starts having dreams that are zombieish in nature and she doesn’t share this with anyone till later. Lee doesn’t really learn much and is kept in the dark until she turns 18 when all is revealed to her and she learns who and what she is. She lets her emotion control her and finds she has power that she can’t control quite yet. Lee is trained to control her powers and learn about her job in life.
This training is to help her in a fight. A fight with possible deadly consequences, for not only Leeowyn, but many realms of individuals. But, you will have to read it to get the rest of the story.
The rest of the story is steady and things become clearer and Leeowyn has to learn who to trust and what to do if she is to survive. Despite the beginning, I look forward to finding out what happens next.
