Kurt Scheffler

Biography

I graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998. I have a graduate degree in history from Sam Houston State University and a graduate degree in educational leadership from Northwest Nazarene University.
I am an educator at Vision Charter School in Caldwell, Idaho and an instructor at the College of Western Idaho and Phoenix University.
My hobbies include sports, camping, fishing, and travel.
The Crescent and the Cross is my first work. I hope to have many more in the future.

Who are your favorite authors?
For modern fiction I enjoy Tom Clancy and Clive Cussler. I also enjoy Edgar Allen Poe and Ernest Hemmingway. My favorite non-fiction history author is Walter Isaacson. I also enjoy the unique historical works of Jeffrey Shaara.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
There are two things that inspire to get out of bed. The first is my family, especially my sons. I want to provide them with a childhood full of wonder and adventure. My second reason is more selfish, I still want to live a life full of wonder and adventure! Life is so short, the bed, the TV, and aimless time on the internet steals our time away from us.
