K. S. Bowers writes dark fiction, fantasy, and children’s fiction.
She has published two short stories: “The Sacrifice” (2012), and “Apple Moonshine.” (2012). Her debut novel, Bronze City, was published in March of 2015.
When not reading or writing, K. S. Bowers enjoys hiking, meditation, drawing, painting, and traveling. She currently resides with her family in Atlanta, Georgia.

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
That would have been fifth grade. There was a schoolwide writing contest, the theme for which was patriotic in nature, something along the lines of what it meant to be American, I can't remember exactly. I only remember having to read it in front of the entire school. The essay was one of two chosen to be printed in the local paper.
