Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I loved to write from the time I was in high school. I had an excellent teacher who encouraged me to write stories, poems and every other type of writing you can think of. She gave me good advice and helped me become a confident writer.
What is your writing process?
Since I write mostly nonfiction, I do a lot of research on the topic that I want to write about first. I then take the photos that I will use in my books so that I have a good selection to choose from. First, I write the narrative and then I illustrate it with the pictures that I feel best fit with the narrative.
