It is hard to find retellings of Bible stories for children that stay true to the story while adding important Biblical values like faith, hope and patience. Mandy Jacob's did an excellent job and is truly gifted by the Spirit. I love all of Mandy Jacob's stories for they add a spiritual depth not found in many children's books. From the unique perspective of Joseph's coat, this story is a beautiful allegory of being gifted with the hope of the future and how that hope carries us through great trials that keep us close to God turning to Him in our darkest troubles. This story will delight your children and offer many opportunities to discuss the importance of holding onto our hope in Jesus.
