Jack Langdon has always felt the call of destiny. Whether by listening to his Grandmother's fortunes, or from hearing the call of a train whistle, he has always known that fate has more in store for him than being a poor man's son. In the summer of 1917 the Great War calls him away, setting him on a path of tragedy and romance that will lead him to discover his true place in the world.
