Veer is the second installment in the Clayton Falls series. This was the first book I've read from this series and even though it would probably be better to read this series in order, the author mentions details from the first book which were relevant to the story-line of this book, thus making it easy to grasp the story-line without much effort. This book is about Becca who has moved to Clayton Falls for the summer. Here she meets Gavin, a local cop, where he helps her out when she gets stranded at the side of the road. This first encounter doesn't go very well as it ends up in an argument. As the story progresses, this tension soon turns into romance and the chemistry between these two characters becomes undeniable. The love story between Becca and Gavin was really enjoyable and the characters were both very likeable. The story is told in alternating points of view, so we get to see what both of these characters are thinking. This made me fall in love with Becca and Gavin even more since I got to know what each of these characters was thinking and feeling. For me this was an lighthearted and fun read which I would recommend to anyone who is in the mood for contemporary romance. After reading this book, I will definitely be reading more books by Alyssa Rose Ivy.
