Smashwords Interview

What are you working on now?
Currently I'm writing the debut novel in a new hard-boiled detective series that introduces a new character, Malone. Malone is a tough, street-smart, former L.A.P.D. homicide detective turned private eye. The book, Come What May, is scheduled for release October 19, 2015.
Who are your favorite authors?
I have many favorites. From the past I really enjoy the greats like Hemingway, Fitzgerald, and Steinbeck. My favorite book of all time is To Kill a Mockingbird so I suppose I'd have to add Harper Lee to that list. As far as contemporary authors, those I read a lot today and can't wait until their next book is released, I'd say my favorites are John Sandford and Craig Johnson. Finally, as far as a favorite author in the sense of who I believe has had the most influence on me as a crime fiction writer, that would be the legendary Raymond Chandler.
