L.C. Barlow graduated with her MA in English in 2013, and she begins her PhD this Fall 2014 to study film and psychoanalytic theory. Always a lover of things out of the norm, she once went to a talk by a supposed ex-Satanist and was so moved by the speaker's story that she immediately set out to write Pivot - the first of an intended trilogy. Barlow has always been a fan of horror and fantasy, and she has written horror ever since her first creative writing class at Texas A&M. Her work has been published in various journals, including Oak Bend Review, Flash Fiction World, Linguistic Erosion, Flashes in the Dark, Separate Worlds, Every Day Fiction, and Pop Culture Review.
Currently, she is a resident of Dallas, TX where she grew up. A lover of film and television, her thesis was on trauma in Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad. Barlow has diverse interests and has done everything from volunteering in a hospital ER to teaching English overseas. She loves to travel.
