Lian De la Cruz is a budding film writer and storyteller who is currently working on getting her Bachelor’s in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University. Her credits include short stories Cecile and The Room (Currently Virtuous), published in The Scarlet Leaf Review, as well as three short stories featured in the anthology Boricua Beauty. She was also an editor for student-run literary magazine Caminos Convergentes. Other than coming up with convoluted plots for her characters, Lian can be found obsessing over how soft her dog’s ears are.
ONE WORD AT A TIME is a compilation of four short stories: “Virtuous,” “Cecile,” “Divorcing in the 16thCentury,” and "Shan's Box" by author Lian De La Cruz. Neither story is like the other but all four are meant to resonate with a core emotion so take it one word at a time.
