[Like the previous 7 books in this series, desperately needs editing/proofreading! - quotation marks are sprinkled like confetti everywhere they don't belong.] In books 1 thru 7, Elsa had built an original, entertaining storyline spanning realms and peopled by incredibly real, likeable characters. In CHANGES, however, the plot drowns in a murky pool of disjointed sexual encounters. In addition, the author uses her protagonist (Tess) to flatly deny the existence of a Christian God while acknowledging and validating all manner of other mythical/historical deities - which didn't make sense and I found offensive. For all her shining potential, Tess (and Elsa) dropped the ball. I won't be buying book 9.
