I just want to point out that I do not know the author and if I hadn't run across the book while browsing lesbian ficiton on Amazon I would not even have known this book existed. I took a chance on an author who was unknown to me because the plot sounded interesting. The plot not only sounded interesting, it actually WAS interesting. The characters were interesting. The main characters were fleshed out very well and the reader got a good sense of what motivated each one. At first the reader thinks it is impossible for these two women to fall in love, but as more is revealed about each one, you find that they are actually sort of perfect for each other. We discover this at the same time the characters do and it makes for a lovely reading experience. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for lesbian fiction where the romance is well written, genuine, between two well-written characters, and balanced by a great plot. I see that the author now has two more books on here (she did not when I purchased this book last month), I will be reading those as well. One of (if not the best) writers in lesbian that I've discovered this year.
