Lee Sherrill has spent his animal-loving childhood growing up in the mountains of Tennessee where he and his family raised pigs, goats, chickens and rabbits. There was always a few dogs and cats running around the small farm as well. Lee spent many an hour playing with the animals and always considered each of them a pet instead of just live stock.
Lee has always had a fascination with mini-dachshunds and finally got his first dachshund (Krystal) after moving to middle Tennessee in 2004. Today Lee lives in a small home in middle Tennessee with his partner Robert and their three dogs Krystal, Kattie and Millie. Kattie and Millie are both rescues and Millie is the star of Lee's first published book "Diary Of A Displaced Dog / Millie's Story" He is currently working on Kattie's story which will be book two of the "Diary Of A Displaced Dog" series.
Lee began writing short stories mostly at night after working all day. Many of these stories were about animals but most of his stories were lost over time. He has plans of putting many of these stories back on paper as time permits.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I wrote was about a teenage kid that was more or less forced to go camping with his family. Once there they went hiking and he wandered off and ended up separated from his family. He was eventually found by a "Mountain Man" that was long thought dead. I started on that story back when WP 5.1 was the popular writing software.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I am a big fan of B&N. I was given a Nook one year as a present and since then I have been downloading a lot of ebooks onto it. I used to go for the free and .99 books but now, I look up releases from my favorite authors and purchase them when I see one that I think I will like.
