  • Waiting on Oct. 10, 2011

“Waiting” is the third wonderful novel by Q. Kelly after “The Odd Couple” and the increasingly popular “Strange Bedfellows”. “Waiting” is yet another example of Q. Kelly‘s amazing talent. Waiting is a story of two women brought together through tragedy to ultimately find happiness against the odds that are stacked against them. True to Q. Kelly style, the plot for “Waiting” is engaging and very well thought out, the characters are warm and very lifelike. The storyline for “Waiting” has been well researched and laid out which makes the plot flow very smoothly and the supporting characters are well maintained and add wonderfully to the story.
  • Strange Bedfellows (Book 1 of the Strange Bedfellows Series) on Oct. 11, 2011

Strange Bedfellows (Q. Kelly) This is a beautiful, heartwarming story about two women with very different backgrounds that meet in the most unusual of circumstances. Both women have lived through tragedy and heart break and have come together to help each other better their lives, and yes, to fall in love. Q. Kelly takes the reader from the first “hello” to the final “I love you” and builds an intriguing story all the way through. You learn about Elena’s heart-breaking loss of her son and her struggles with her friends. You also learn of Frances’ struggle to accept herself and to move away from the anti-gay organization G.I.C. (Gay is a Choice) which she led and also about her desire to find her daughter which has been missing for many years. Thinking about what kind of book “Strange Bedfellows” is; Amazon and other places call it a “lesbian romance” ~ this is not very helpful ~ So, I’ve thought of a new genre ….. “Slice of Life” “Strange Bedfellows” is a sampling of two very wonderful people’s lives. It details their dreams, desires and needs. The adventure is their interaction and the ultimate goal is their dreams to come true. Q. Kelly is an amazing author and I can’t wait to read her future works.
