I love this series and can't wait for another! great reading from start to finish.
  • Arcanorum: A Lake People Novel on Nov. 24, 2012

I love Ms. Bevills Lake people novels. I've read all of them and her characters are well developed but not so bogged down in detail that reading them is a chore. They move fast and once you start you want to keep reading to see what happens next. They do have the old boy meets girl, they fall in love, etc, etc, but she thankfully leaves out the gratuitous sex that becomes so repetetive in some books that I end up skipping half the book! At least her boy meets girl scenarios are interesting. So all in all, I really enjoyed all the lake people books and just wish there were more of them!
  • The Last Roman (The Praetorian Series - Book I) on Dec. 02, 2012

Having been to Rome several times and being a roman history buff, I found this book a "can't put it down pageturner". some of the tactical details got a little boggy at times as well as the intricate descriptions of the rifles,etc.. I would have loved to have had a bit more of the actual details of the day to day hardships compared to 21 century life, but the insight into the roman army life was fascinating and I can't wait to start the sequel. I really hope there is another sequel coming after the 2nd.
  • To Crown a Caesar (The Praetorian Series - Book II) on Dec. 16, 2012

Another great book. This 1 has a little more relationship development in it. Sometimes you get a little lost in the how could this happen aspect of it. But all in all it's a great read when you'll start can't put down. I hope there are many more coming in this series!
  • Linked, a YA paranormal romance/fantasy (#2 Guardian series) on Jan. 12, 2013

I am definately not a young adult but I loved these books, although the misusage of throne and thrown and passed and past drives me insane. but past that, these are very well written books, a definate page turner and I can't wait for the next one.

I love this series. I hope the next one is in the works. it really put a new twist on old story and sheds light on Lucifer as a guy just doing his job. but please bring them back they can't be gone!
