Though the concept of the book is good there is a lot of missing punctuation and some words where they are not supposed to be, like instead of followed it says fallowed. Needs some more work but it could be a good read.
I too believe that it was just the opening but it was a very good start and I also read the excerpt at the end for Swamp of Bones and sounds awesome, what I have read so far I think you will see a lot of good books from this author.
It was amazing one of the best zombie books I have read. You assume that he is taking advantage of this woman but in the end you get to find out that so isn't true. I can't wait for more from this author.
Stuck in her hometown back in the 80's, which is bad enough it is also being runover with zombies. And on top of all that being stuck in a so called compound. Seffy is in her own worst nightmare. The author is talented, while others just use one genre in a book she uses multiple ideas with ease.
Something happens to Seffy that tears her whole world apart and nothing will be the same again....everything comes out in this book, everyone's secrets will fall into the light and nobody is safe....The ending was amazing, a great ending to a bumpy ride down apocalypse lane...I think the best book out of all of them.
I truly enjoyed this book. The author wrote the book with enough detail that you can actually envision groups of people acting that way, if there ever was a catastrophic event. These children are being tortured by the world and in the end they die in a horrific way. But there are some that take what they are handed and make a whole new life, only to have death knock on their door.
This story takes you back to slavery, to lies deceit and betrayal. There are moments where it lulls but it picks back up and keeps you interested till the very end. The author is amazing at giving you vivid details, making you see every gory moment.
It is a good zombie book. The characters were well developed along with the story. The ending was expected but it didn't deter me to stop reading. Yes there was grammatical errors here and there but over all a good read.
I thought this book was good. I too had gotten it before it was re-released, so I find the author has a great talent of descriptive words so well put that you could "see" this happening. All of these humans that survived the war have make it through a deserted wasteland of misery.
There are errors but you can pass over them. It is a weird book but it does have an underlying message, dont go with strangers no matter what they say. I felt sorry for Nate, his dad has a new family and no time for him. So at the end of a game Nate's whole life changes and not for the better. So now in this whole new world he has to depend on new friends and himself to get them out of corn chip hell.
I loved Big Enough, the other stories were good too but out of all of them that is the story that stuck with me after I read the whole book. So it is a book about short stories but the author has made all of them terrific. All of them are great westerns.
