I first felt drawn to write children's books at the age of seventeen. I loved English class all through school, even the homework, and enjoyed getting good grades. In high school; I especially enjoyed the assignment: "Make your own picture book."
Later, as a young mother of three, my own children became a source of great inspiration. Over the years, after writes, rewrites, multiple polishings, and a tall stack of rejection letters, with my children fully grown; I'm finally able to refer to myself as an author!
I have quite an extensive portfolio at this point which includes: over twenty children's stories, spanning all the age ranges, romantic and Christian poetry, short stories for ages sixteen to adult and non-fiction articles, mainly Christian.
A collection of 4 stories for kids ages 8-14; offering a wide variety of concepts, fun and life lessons; including those involving vital family values and diversity. Sure to satisfy a wide variety of taste for the self-reader.
This story uses fiction to help guide teens and tweens through puberty and early adolescence in all purity. The engaging characters and storyline will pull readers into a world of fun and learning will come easy!
"Once there was a grasshopper named Josh. Everyday Josh would get up early to play. ‘I can’t wait because I love playing in the grass so much,’ he thought. ‘And my favorite thing to play in the grass is jumping as high as I can on warm summer days.’"
Jumpin' Josh is a story about hyperactivity, differences and acceptance. It is an illustrated children's tale.
