Patchwork Dog and Calico Cat by Greta Burroughs
Greta graciously sent me a copy of one of her stories. She did good. For, I enjoy my Cats and Dogs. Her story reminded me of the days long gone when I was read tales to as a child. The tales reminded me of the times I read books to my own children, years ago.
The drawings inside the book are enchanting. Each individual story exciting for all children. Even the inner child that lingers deep inside of you and me.
Patchwork Dog and Calico Cat is a fun read to have read to you or to read yourself. But, be warned Greta Burroughs is sneaky.
At the end of each unique episode is a section with three questions. So expertly done to make the conversion, with the child fortunately enough the be by your side to continue, and help them learn from Patchwork Dog and Calico Cat’s adventures.
So, go get yourself a copy to share with someone on your knee, or to lose yourself in a memory. You won’t be disappointed.
