Biography
Lisa Polisar is a fiction writer, award-winning journalist, screenwriter, and lifelong musician whose obsession with stories began in early childhood. This obsession very quickly materialized into a love of the mystery genre. beginning with Nancy Drew and Sherlock Holmes.
Lisa has taught both fiction and nonfiction at the college level, and works as a consultant in fiction writing, editing, business writing, marketing, and strategic planning.
As a screenwriter, Lisa has written several screenplay “shorts”, a number of which have won awards at film festivals in New Mexico. She has also written three feature-length screenplays (mostly comedies) and is currently at work on a new script.
Originally from Hingham, Massachusetts, Lisa has lived in Connecticut, New Mexico, and England. She now lives with her husband in the San Francisco Bay area.
