Smashwords Interview

My life is an-interweave of passion, meditation, intrigue, sensuality, experimentation and philosophy. Writing is complicated as language reveals. The historical fiction of The Arius Scrolls, to the suspense of The Fragments of Faust, and the nature of reincarnation in The Shadows of Lhasa are filled with curiosity, doubt, humor and intrigue.

I currently have two other novels under review. Different authors have inspired me for different reasons. A word, a sentence, sometimes a paragraph and other times a page or chapter and every so often an entire work caused me to feel that as if I was part of the experience. At times a particular work is remembered simply for an implicit idea or theme.

Voltaire’s Candide, Conrad’s Lord Jim, Miller’s Tropic of Capricorn, Heller’s Catch 22, Steinbeck’s Grapes of Wrath, Endo’s Silence, Kafka’s The Trial, Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn, Baker’s Fermata and Marlowe’s Faust are a few of the fiction examples that have affected me. My non-fiction list is much longer as my interests are broad from architecture, space exploration, biographies, justice, science, social relationships, nature, and the natural.
