L. James Hammond

L. James Hammond was born in Westport, Connecticut, in 1961, attended public schools in Westport, and graduated from Harvard in 1983. While living in Ireland in 1984, he began writing his first book, a book of aphorisms called Conversations With Great Thinkers. Later he published excerpts from this book in Chinese magazines, and the entire book was published by two Beijing publishers (in Chinese translation). This book was also published in Taiwan. His second book, Realms of Gold: A Sketch of Western Literature, was also published in Taiwan. Both these books were also published in the U.S., in the original English version.
