Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
Well it's a long story, but basically it was about making my weakest link my strongest link. I was fed up with relationships starting out great and ending up in disaster. I had a husband who turned violent, boyfriends who drove me crazy and others who just disappeared. Every relationship seemed unique and I always found a way to point the finger, saying that something was wrong with my choice of partner. But finally I started to look for the common thread and to find some real solutions. I realized that if I had better control of my emotions, my relationships might turn out better. So I delved into a search for the ultimate wisdom about relationships, for my own benefit, and then realizing that many others were stuck in similar situations, I decided to share what I learned. I compiled, organized and summarized the best of the best expert and scientifically grounded information, developed a system, which uses the analogy of growing a garden and put it all together in a book. Of course the most valuable tool I learned for changing my situation was the Emotional Freedom Technique and I integrated this in the book. That's what really changed my life and it's what makes my book really unique.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Ah the greatest joy of writing is that I can get in "the flow", enjoying what I am doing to such an extent that I am lost in it. In that state of flow, I could be creative and know that I was developing something unique and valuable. As much as I enjoyed the process, I also enjoyed the satisfaction of finishing, of knowing I had made my best effort, drawn in my best supports, and created a finished product that I could share with the world. Relationships are in a way the back-bone of society and when it comes to the most intimate of relationships, no one teaches us how to manage them. I feel like I've made a real contribution towards the betterment of our world and that is rewarding for me.
