I am not really sure what to make of this book. Very easy read, had I more time I would haven't finished sooner. The teenage girl narrating is typical in setting she was placed. She is influenced by those around her. She struggles with her faith. Looks up to her big brother. She wants the best of both worlds. I struggled with the family's ethnicity for a while. I don't know why exactly. Wasn't the worst book I ever read. Give it a chance.
