Refugee Nation - A Radical Solution to the Global Refugee Crisis on July 10, 2015

I have always had a desire to help others but was never in a position to do so. Living in Southern California has made it possible for me to meet people from many different countries and backgrounds. I became passionate about immigration and started pursing my law degree to make a difference. This summer I have had the opportunity to do some pro bono work with a nonprofit helping unaccompanied minors in removal proceedings apply for asylum. Hearing their stories has motivated me to want to start a nonprofit of my own once I receive my JD. I read this book because of the passion I have to help refugees and asylees. The truth is that I can help people but something needs to change. Helping a couple here and there isn't the overall solution. This book is short and straight to the point. Makes you think about the possibilities. Most importantly, it encourages action! I absolutely loved it. Definitely a must read!
