When did you first start writing?
Technically, in 2010. I'm a reader first and a writer second. But I've dabbled with writing since my teens. However, the first time I sat down to seriously try my hand at a story start to finish was when our youngest started his senior year in high school. That was the fall of 2010. I needed a distraction because I was rather depressed about my baby going off to college so soon. And boy did it work! I loved writing and telling stories! I suppose it was good for both of us because the kiddo had to learn to fend for himself and the creative outlet that writing gave me enhanced my life so much!
What is the one thing that you want your readers to know about your books?
When I first started in this business, there wasn't a term called 'safe.' It took me a long time to figure out that my books fall under that reader-developed label. My books are safe, not because it was a niche that needed to be filled, but because this is what I want to read, so I write that way. With my books, you'll always get an alpha-male, sometimes an alpha-hole, but they'll always be safe reads.
