  • Sweetest Treat on June 03, 2015

Sweetest Treat by A.R. Von 4 ½ stars This was such a different and interesting twist on a childhood fairy tale, turned steamy hot adult fairy tale. I liked how Meesh and Mitch didn’t have a typical childhood, and how they managed to rise above the curse to become the adults they are. Dru and Meesh are incredibly hot together, I loved the romantic side of it and how they can’t resist each other. I was drawn into the story more and more, the further into the book I got I didn’t want to put it down. I am definitely looking forward to reading Mitch’s story! A.R. Von’s writing is refreshingly different from the writing styles I’m used to and I enjoy it more with each book. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
  • Listen, Just Once on June 03, 2015

Listen, Just Once by A.R. Von 3 1/2 stars This was such a sad story, understandable as it was based on a true story. This was a very realistic telling of a young girl that experienced abuse first hand, and told from the perspective of the girl at that age. It was well written, and yet felt to me more like it was written similar to how a person would write in their journal in a story-telling fashion. I imagine that this was very healing for the author, or the person it was written about, and applaud the purpose. I only had a hard time getting into it because of how I felt like I was reading a friend's diary, and it was so sad, and horrible that any child should have to experience this or worse.
  • Jailhouse Rock on June 03, 2015

Jailhouse Rock by A.R. Von 4 stars I liked this story. Bonnie and Dean each talked themselves out of the attraction they had for each other due to the circumstances of how they met, and where. How ironic that they lived so close to each other and frequented many of the same places. Fate had more in store for them as their destiny took hold and they finally met. What a sweet romance these two had. They definitely had good chemistry together and fortunately neither of them really tried to fight it for long. This book was easy to read, in a very good way. I’ll definitely read more stories by A.R. Von!
  • DreamZ (Wunder 0.5) on June 03, 2015

Dreamz, .5 Wunder Series by A.R. Von 5 stars This is a short prequel that does exactly what it should. This was an intriguing lead in to the series, with just enough of an introduction to what the two main characters Wunder and Pete are like. I think this is going to be a different take on zombies, I like it. I hope that the chemistry between Wunder and Pete that is hinted to is as explosive as is hinted it will be. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast I was sucked in to this story, and can't wait to read the rest.
  • The Approach (Wunder #1) on June 13, 2015

The Approach, Wunder #1 by A.R. Von 3 1/2 stars I was drawn into this story. As a continuation from the prequel I was able to quickly follow where the story was going and understand how and why things quickly evolved with Wunder and Pete. I was not expecting the twist at the end, but I liked it and want to see where it goes next! The only part that I struggled with (even having read the prequel) was just how fast paced things were. I understand this part of the story was short, and had no problem at all with that. It just felt a bit rushed. Make no mistake I like the story and the characters!

Blood Dance by A.R. Von 4 stars This was such a different take on Valentine's Day, with a true horror spin. With so many twists and turns I didn't expect, I was on the edge of my seat at so many parts of the story. Stacey was definitely not who I thought she was. Molly was a happy surprise. Sean really didn't give me a choice but to really like him, right from the start, the further into the story, the more I liked him The erotic parts were both steamy and part disturbing. I definitely felt this was really well written, and want to read the next book, I have got to know what happens next! What kept it from 5 stars was really just the level of creepiness for me personally.
