Lawrence is a language enthusiast. In his spare time, he likes to read and learn new languages. He knows how to live on a manageable budget to have enough money to travel the world. He learned Russian because he wanted to communicate with ordinary people while traveling to the world’s oldest and deepest freshwater Lake Baikal located in Russian Siberia and The Summer Palace, residence of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg.
When did you first start writing?
It all started at school. I had an English teacher who always told me that I could do better even though I was always in the top ten percent for marks. I re-wrote my essays numerous times until I felt satisfied with my writing. As with many people, I started to write a diary and wrote about things that I didn’t want to share with anybody else. Things, that I was proud of and that made me happy. My diary became my best friend because I didn’t need to pretend. I was who I was.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
As I stated in my book, there is something very positive about the act of committing to paper. I realized that putting my thoughts into writing allowed me to think clearer. The greatest joy of writing for me is to share. I share my experiences with the hope that I can help someone to minimize their struggle and achieve better in life.
