Edward Charles

Biography

Hi! We’re Ed and Anne Charles and are pleased to have you read about us. We are semi-retired and live in historic Cochise County, Arizona, close to the famous town of Tombstone. Anne actually re-found me through Facebook in 2010. She was my childhood sweetheart in the eighth grade where we lived in a small town in upstate New York. Her mom took her to California when she was fourteen and made us sever our relationship. I didn’t see Anne again until she became of age and returned to New York to reconnect with her paternal father. We got together back then and again fell deeply in love. Alas, it wasn’t to be, as she had to return to California after the summer and I had to trot off to college in Texas. More than forty years later we re-united and realized our love hadn’t died, it had just become dormant and hidden. Five months later we eloped and have never been happier! Springing forth from this love has come our novels.

When you read our novels you will discover some things about us. We love the geography of the desert southwest and in many novels you will find our characters there. There's a freshness about this part of the world. We both love history and the characters who lived in the past. Much research is done to assure the accuracy of events and people. For example, everyone knows about the Wyatt Earp of 1881 Tombstone. Few know, however, that years after Tombstone he owned a bar with his love Josie in Nome, Alaska. His best friend was John Clum (the first mayor of Tombstone) who followed him from Tombstone to become the postmaster of Alaska. As you read, feel free to investigate our characters past. The majority of the prose about them is true, excepting that very slight 'twist' of the facts that allow us authors to create fiction.

Our novels, in reverse order:

"How I Defeated ISIS" Read how one person, a Rom (or Gypsy) is able to amass a "Silent Minority" to defeat ISIS.

"GhostTown B&B" A real fun read with ghosts coming alive while in the presence of a gypsy woman, Vadoma Lovell. The ghosts of Tombstone again emerge to have fun like the good old days. This is really the first book in "How I Defeated ISIS".

"Points to Murder" How a man recovering from Luekemia is accused as a serial killer and how his family, without the support of the San Diego Sheriff must find the real killer and prove his innocence.

"Broken Gate" Don't we all know how bad the US-Mexican border situation is? This suspense novel solves the border problem by invading Northern Mexico and implanting a new country in between.

"The Connection Series," is a Trilogy
- "The Imperial Connection" Smuggling from Africa to Mexico into the US by the Chinese Mafia
- "Well Bred Connections" Child abduction and illegal sale of children to the rich and famous
- "Hidden Connections" Infiltration of ISIS from Mexico into the US to form sleeper-cells
