Mark Fitzgerald

I am an unemployed architect. My future, which suits me just fine, will be that of a substitute school teacher, advanced guitarist and instructor of guitar, Volvo restorer and conspiracy theorist. And novelist. Right now, my penchant seems to be short little novels, novellas I guess they are. This is making me quite prolific. I might be in error. Maybe harder work on longer novels is best. I would be delighted to have any feedback on my works. Most of all, please read "The Undergrad" also available at Smashwords.

The cover is a total fraud. This is just another book of silly thoughts and rants. Like the much beloved "Beer Money" and "Topless Kid Sister". My sister likes most of these little quips. That's probably why I like her.

So far I have written ten "works". They are widely varied in terms of subject matter. Nine are novels of varying lengths. One is just a collection of "funny" Facebook posts that I have made over the last year. My novels are just attempts to tell an interesting story. I am an architect with good typing skills. Maybe not a novelist at all. You decide. Don't take off points for spelling or grammer.

They also had a fire stair. In the Burns Building the fires stair also interconnects all the floors;temporally not spatially. In a single day, it is November 22, 1963, 1973 and 1983. Lives are saved. Lives are lost.

Ava is a fictional love story built around the form and character of a woman who hitch-hiked a ride from me once. She was in my car five minutes, at the most. None of what happens in this story, really happened. I hope you enjoy it.

I get these dream-like visions/recollections just as I am falling asleep. They seem as real as real life. But they aren't. I hope. Especially the one where I am sure I have killed and buried someone in the past and I fear being discovered. It would be tolerable, these "hypnogogic hallucinations", I have had any waking recollections of my past. I don't. Just what my parent tell me. I am sixteen.

"Senior", the controlling partner at the firm has "problems"...psychological problems ... paranoia at the least, probably schizophrenia .... and a dubious sense of ethical obligation to his employees. I set out to avenge myself. Vengence. Not a nice thing. Doesn't meet my expectations. Odd, how we can find love.

One man's efforts to raise awareness of the vileness and the vulnerability of the "right wing" in America, by "unspeakable" acts, leads to an outcome he could never have expected. A short novel about politics and passion and betrayal. This isn't an homage to Ayn Rand. Let me say only that Ayn Rand, when she was afflicted with cancer, tried fraudulently to received social assistance. Enough said.
Beer Money

I call these "neural nuggets": litely battered blather containing no less than %50 humor and %50 percent wisdom. Trace amounts of bullshit. No trans-fat.. anymore. Really,I'm an "out of work archtect," who spends too much time on Facebook trying to be funny. They say I am. So, I am trying to earn "beer money" at least by publishing these. I am not kidding... I can't buy beer. God Bless.

In 1971, Parker was a freshman philosophy student forced to make a pledge of silence by a tyrannical and murderous professor. Twelve years later, his promise will cost him his life and leave three murdered coeds unavenged unless the first real love of his life, a charming, homespun police detective in Fort Worth can vindicate him or divine the philosphical arguement to release him from the pledge.
