In 2010, Mark climbed into a 19-foot Okanagan camper van with his wife and two children, trading work stress for family drama as they traveled extensively throughout Canada and the United States. In the midst of this journey, Mark took a three-week detour through Ecuador to volunteer at a biological reserve.
Fuelled by his recent experiences and a what-do-we-want-to-be-when-we-grow-up discussion with his wife, Mark embarked on writing his debut novel, Goodnight Sunshine. He is now hard at work on his second and third novels, while unschooling his children and starting a new business, in the beautiful seaside town of Gibsons on the west coast of Canada.
