Mark Thompson

Biography

MARK THOMPSON is a journalist with a longtime involvement in the arts as a filmmaker, actor, writer and publisher. He helped found the Gay Students Coalition at San Francisco State University in 1973, and has worked for gay and feminist causes since that time. Thompson was the cultural associate editor of The Advocate, the national gay newsmagazine, and has contributed numerous feature articles, essays and interviews with prominent artists and writers for over a decade. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he continues to expand his understanding of gay identity through the exploration of gay men’s dreams and other cultural phenomena.
