Biography

Jeanne Martinson, MA is a diversity strategist, professional speaker, trainer and best-selling author who has worked throughout Canada and internationally. Since starting her own firm in 1993, Jeanne has inspired thousands of participants in her workshops and keynote presentations with her humour, insight and real-world examples.

Jeanne Martinson is the Managing Partner of Martrain Corporate and Personal Development, a Saskatchewan-based training company in its 19th year of business. She recently completed her MA in Leadership through Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, also receiving the Founder’s Award. Her graduate research focused on the leadership differences between corporate and criminal leaders. As a Canadian best-selling author and strategist in workplace diversity, Jeanne's goal is to assist leaders in understanding diversity issues so they may attract, retain and engage their ideal workforce.

Jeanne’s other books include: “Lies and Fairy Tales That Deny Women Happiness,” which explores the myths that many Canadian women are raised with and which limit their ability to have happy relationships and fulfilling careers, and “Generation Y and the New Work Ethic” due out March 2013 in print and electronic format. Jeanne has been recognized with the Canada 125 Medal, the YWCA Women of Distinction Award, the Centennial Leadership Award for outstanding contribution to the Province of Saskatchewan, the Athena Award, and the National Diversity Award – the EMCY. Jeanne has been listed in the "Who’s Who of Canadian Women" since 1996 and "Canadian Who’s Who" since 1999.
