I enjoyed reading True Gold, by M.M. Justus. I liked its historical setting and the accuracy of the carefully researched setting and action, which was so well-done that the reader could almost feel the icy winds of the Klondike. I also enjoyed the interaction of the leading characters with one another and with photographer Eric Hoel. The story moved quickly, and there were only a few very brief, less exciting bits. The goats added a certain something to the story, as well.
I think that if I had to find a fault in the work, it would be that both Karin and Will seemed too quick to judge others for people of their age and time, and were both incredibly stubborn.
