Michael Buettner was born in Germany and experienced World War II as a small child. He left Germany when he was ten years old with his family and settled in the US, where his father worked for the Air Force in space medicine for a while.
His boyhood in Texas and California provided a rich treasure of adventures and stories. Life as a public school teacher provided more insights into how American parents raise their young.
Later on he worked as a scientist, college teacher and pursued a business career working for various public utility companies. He started writing during his business career recording some of the interesting people he met on the job as well as poetry.
What’s Wolfie Hebert to do when his parents vanish into the chaos of a war, leaving him behind, injured, terrified and alone? Courage and salvation come from the strangest places: a very special suit and a very unlikely friendship.
