Melinda Jasmine Crouchley

I'm a Pacific Northwest local with an MA in writing and BA in English from Portland State University. My first novel, Metal Heart, a young adult science fiction book was published in 2017 by the Multnomah County Library Writers Project. The second novel in the series, Tin Road, is available now for download.

I've written two more novels (Iron Curtain, the third novel in the series), and am currently submitting my fourth novel, Astrid vs. the Asteroid, to agents and publishers.

I’ve published short stories, screenplays, and poems in literary magazines (The Oregon Literary Review, Pathos Literary Magazine, and Synesthesia) and national service anthologies. In addition I've written television scripts and screenplays, and maintained a nerd culture entertainment blog, Tinyheroes, from 2009-2017.

I spent the last seven years in marketing and communications focused on content creation where I honed and strengthened my skills in digital media design including photography, videography, website design, and social media strategy.

In my daylight hours: I'm managing editor at Ooligan Press and a Graduate Outreach Assistant in Book Publishing.
