Quote that I live by:
Logic can take you from A to B but imagination can take you anywhere
I was born in Johannesburg South Africa in 1974. I'm currently married to a wonderful husband and have three gorgeous kids that I'm so proud of.
I absolutely love the ocean and everything in it - I'm an avid scuba diver that should have been a mermaid -I love diving with sharks, Black Tips - Tiger Sharks and the most majestic Whale Sharks. A lot of my inspiration comes from this other world that so few see. My dream is to one day dive the Great Barrier Reef.
If I could I would save every fury animal out there. I have four dogs, 6 cats and wish I could have more. I love traveling, from the Indian Ocean to the Drakensberg mountains to the Kruger National Park.
I've been writing for a long time and this is a dream come true. Technology is not my friend but without it, I wouldn't be able to share my stories.
I'm so grateful to God and my family for the life I live and the wonders I see.
Name some of your favorite authors.
I grew up with Johanna Lindsey a historical romance author but you have to move with the times and fantasy romance is now what readers want. I love reading anything by Jeaniene frost, Jocelyn Davies, Cassandra Clare, Mia James to name a few. It's difficult choosing a favorite as they are all brilliant writers.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Firstly let me explain. I love sleeping in. I don't know why but my creative juices seem to flow only after midnight. I guess knowing that there is so much to do in the day is a great motivator, but nothing motivates me more than waking up with a great idea for my book and getting it down on paper before it slips away.
A paranormal romance, epic adventure, and tension-filled mystery, Melanie Cabral’s debut explores the nature of light and dark on multiple thematic levels as it delivers a fascinating, complex mythology.
