Biography
Before becoming an author, Melvyn Grant was a well-known and highly regarded illustration artist, specializing in book and album sleeve illustration. His unique style spanned from children’s art to the darkest adult horror, but he chose to concentrate on fantasy, horror and science fiction and produced covers and interiors for leading writers and musicians amongst which are Terry Pratchett, Darren Shan, Michael Moorcock, Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. Iron Maiden commissioned him to produce several covers for their albums, which included redesigning their icon Eddy for the Final Frontier album. His creation was used as the stage set and new design for their aircraft. He was also asked by Pan to create the final cover for the Pan Book of Horror series.
