Sheri L. Swift lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia with her husband and beagle (Talei). She blogs, enjoys writing poetry, is a cancer survivor and is an avid Pinner.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in the valley of California. My family would take summer vacations to the local lakes and West coast. In the fall, we would camp in the Sierras where my father taught us to hunt and fish and to appreciate all of God's creation.
When did you first start writing?
In Junior high school, I had a wonderful teacher named Mrs. Perry who inspired us to write our dreams.
Now that Lizzy Prentis has graduated with a Masters in Elementary Education, she is heading home with shattered dreams and a broken heart. Will returning to Safe Harbor Island and those she loves be enough to heal her? She realizes she’s missed her home and the Sea more than she ever imagined. She agrees to join her family on a trip to the South Pacific and it opens up new possibilities ;)
Now Terra has turned 18 and crowned Queen of Glen Haven, does she have the strength and courage to lead her people across the Dubh Mountains?
Will the Elven Prince be in Telendaria when she arrives? Will he judge her for her Pixie and Mortal ancestry?
All she can do is hold onto the prophecy of her grandmother in hopes she and her people will have a better life among her Elven kinsmen.
Jedediah Prentis is 17 years old and the son of Cole Prentis, the lighthouse keeper, and also the keeper of many secrets. Jedediah is struggling to find his own identity; should he follow in his father's footsteps and be the future Guardian of the Mer for Safe Harbor Island or can he force a destiny of his own making with the extraordinary gifts he's been blessed with.
