As a reader I like the premise, plot and character development. As a thinker, I am quite intrigued by the potential for re-creating a brave (?) new world and outcomes for today - leaving aside the _backstories_ contained within the existing series. Keep going dude! Disclosure: I had read the second book direct from the author, and have read these books three times over the past year, getting something at each reading. I am now ready to read the third installment. FYI, my other favourites are Raymond Feist, Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.
